22470 - 3' High Torque
High-torque, heavy-duty drive system guarantees performance in any soil condition from rock to clay. Dig trenches up to 42' below grade. Heavy-duty nose roller bearing and reversible abrasion-resistant boom give you years of dependable use.

Reversible Boom
Reverse the boom on the trencher to double the life! The boom is made of high abrasion resistant material to fight wear and last longer.

4" 6" 8" 12" Width Chains
Chain widths are available for both the 2' and 3' booms. All Toro chains are standard 2-pitch, anti-back flex with cupped teeth. The 2-pitch allows the chain to be configured with a tooth on every link or every other link. The anti-back flex design prevents the chain links from "flexing" back in tough soil conditions. Cupped teeth are designed to scoop large quantities of soil. Carbide tipped rock teeth and replacement teeth are available through the parts department.

4" 6" Width Rock/Frost Chains
Rock/Frost chains are standard 2-pitch, anti-back flex with cupped and carbide teeth. The carbide teeth rip through and break up rock and frost. The cupped teeth follow behind and scoop the material out of the trencher.

Trencher Crumber
The Toro crumber is designed specifically to make the trench bottom clean and smooth. The crumber follows behind the chain to clean all "crumbs" from the bottom of the trench. The hardened tip of the crumber pulls any loose material back into the chain teeth.

22472 - Trench Filler
Designed for time and money-saving efficiency, this new attachment lets operators fill trenches in a single pass. Two sets of opposing augers direct the spoils from the sides of the trench back into the hole, while the filler levels off the work area - and fluffs the turf on each side of the trench - minimizing its footprint

Integrated Float
Float mechanism provides ground following and constant flotation, resulting in improved trench cleanup.

Notched Frame
Auger frame is notched in the middle to create mounding that will compact over time, a feature that helps avoid the need for follow-up labor after the ground has settled.

Adjustable Skids
Toro-exclusive adjustable skids help prevent scalping by spreading the weight of the unit over a larger surface area. Skids allow 1-1/4" vertical adjustment depending on ground conditions. Set high for existing turf conditions; set low for exposed soil conditions. The trench filler floats across the ground without digging or sinking in and disrupting turf.
