Dingo Auger Drives and Augers
Toro Dingo Auger Drives and Augers are built for productivity and durability. In
any drive head, there is a trade off between torque (power) and bit speed
(revolutions per minute). Toro offers two heads, one for torque and one for
speed. Toro's High Torque Drive Head maximizes the torque or "power" of the
auger. The High Torque head turns the auger bits at a slower speed and very high
torque (power) level allowing the Dingo to auger up to 30" holes while
maintaining a constant spin speed. In contrast, the Universal Swivel Drive Head
combines torque and speed to produce a faster head designed for smaller augers.
The Universal Swivel Power Head turns the auger at a higher speed allowing the
auger to penetrate the soil much faster. The Universal Head swivels in all
directions, allowing the operator to auger plumb holes on hills, uneven
Durable Steel Housing
The steel housing on the Toro power heads protects the components from damage,
wear and unwanted dust.
Multiple Head Orientation
Toro drive heads can lock into multiple orientations. This allows the contractor
to use the drive head in a horizontal or vertical direction. The heads pivot to
allow additional attachments such as the cement bowl, capstan adapter and screw
anchor adapter.
High Torque Planetary Gear Drive
The high torque planetary gear drive of the Toro power heads provides years of
service. The gear drive induces less stress on the hydraulic motor insuring a
long life.
Dingo Quick Attach System
With the Dingo quick attach system, changing an attachment is as simple as
turning two levers. Hydraulic attachments require connection of two flush face
couplers. Most attachments can be changed in less than sixty seconds.

22805-High Torque Auger Power Head
In any drive head, there is a tradeoff between torque (power) and speed
(revolutions per minute). The high torque head provides a large amount of torque
(power) to the auger at a slower speed. The high torque (power) translates into
the Dingo's capability to dig 30" holes up to 5' deep in clay, gravel, sandstone
and many other conditions where lower torque heads get stuck.

* Designed for large auger bits up to 30"
* High Torque (Power) Drive

One Person Bit Change
Any of the Toro Augers can be changed on the head with only one person! The 2
9/16" diameter shaft allows easy fitting of the head to the auger. Most other
competitors require two people to change an auger.
Single Directional Pivot
Front to back directional pivot provides the operator with exceptional control
when digging with large augers. The single directional pivot prevents the auger
from kicking left to right and reduces flailing.
Horizontal Lockout
The head locks in the horizontal position for usage with the Toro Cement Bowl,
Capstand Adapter and more.
Planetary Gear Drive
The planetary gear drive provides maximum torque at a consistent level. The
planetary gear drive also insures the longevity of the power head by
transmitting less stress to the hydraulic motor.

22806-Universal Swivel Auger
This attachment swivels in all directions to create plumb holes on uneven
terrain. The higher speed of this auger power head is ideal for augers up to 18
inches in diameter. Quickly change between auger bit sizes to dig holes for
fence posts, footings, irrigation heads and more! You can even secure cables and
tent posts with the screw anchor adapter.

require two people to change the auger.
20 Universal Pivot
Power head swivels in all directions allowing the contractor to create plum
holes on hills, slopes and uneven terrain. The universal swivel also makes the
head adaptable for screw anchor installation and capstan adapter.
High Speed Drive
The high speed drive provides maximum bit speed allowing the auger to dig holes
very fast. The high speed drive is fantastic for any contractor wanting to auger
many holes in a short period of time.
Planetary Gear Drive
The planetary gear drive provides high speeds and maximum torque to the auger,
while transmitting minimal stress on the auger head components. The planetary
gear drive insures the longevity of the hydraulic motor.
Accessories
9" Rock Auger
Used for extreme digging conditions, rock, coral, etc. Replaceable carbide
teeth.
6" 9" 12" 15" 18" 24" 30" Augers
Toro Augers are designed for years and years of service. From the penetration
tip of the bit to the connection design on the shaft, Toro augers are engineered
for durability. High carbon teeth penetrate the soil and protect the flighting.
The teeth are easily replaceable when they become worn. The fitting on all
Toro augers is connected to the shaft by a continuous weld. Most other auger
flightings are tack welded at 2 or 3 spots on the shaft. High stress can cause
the tack welds to crack and break, Toro welds will not break under the same
conditions. The Toro flighting is composed of 3/8" thick continuous steel where
many other augers are 1/8" thick or less. The shaft of the auger firmly connects
to the power head reducing "play" in the system and creating a longer lasting
auger. This connection provides less "shock" to the power head, lengthening the
life of the head and its components.
Cement Bowl
Haul, mix, and pour up to 200 lbs (dry) cement. Eliminates hand mixing.
12" & 24" Auger Extension
Made from the same high strength material as the auger shaft, the extension can
be added to increase the depth of the hole.
